Narrator – Today we are with Jose and Rosa Lopez. Jose and Rosa are learning about time and the calendar.

Rosa - Jose, tomorrow is Monday.
Rosa – I have to go back to work on Monday.
Rosa – I do not like Mondays.
Rose – Do you like Mondays Jose?

Jose – Yes, I like Mondays, because the next day is Tuesday.

Rosa – Why does that make you like Mondays?

Jose – Tuesday is payday!

Rosa – We only get paid once a month.
Rosa – We get paid on the first day of every month.

Jose – I would not like to get paid once a month.

Rosa – I would like to get paid every Friday.
Rosa – The next day would be Saturday and I am off work.

Jose – Getting paid on Friday would be nice.
Jose – But getting paid every Tuesday is not too bad.

Rosa – Today is Sunday, February 28.
Rosa – Today is the last day of the month.

Jose – Yes, tomorrow will be Monday, March 1.
Jose – When will dinner be ready?

Rosa – Dinner will be ready at about 5:00.
Rosa – You know we eat early on Sundays.
Rosa – Mom does not get home from church until 4:00.

Jose – I forgot, because we have dinner at 7:00 during the week.

Rosa – I would like to have dinner at 5:00 every day.
Rosa – Alfonso does not come home from work until 6:00.

Jose – Yes, and Dad does not get home until 6:30.
